e-bay payment for P & P

Sorry if this is really obvious, I have just made my 1st sales on ebay yesterday, they all paid for the cost of the item through paypal, and I have sent the parcels off today.
When will I get the cost for P &P, is it when the parcel arrives ? Or should I already have it, have I done something wrong ?
Thank you for any help you are able to give

The invoice you sent is the full amount that you have charged the buyer including postage. If you had a postage charge set it would have been automatically picked up on the invoice.

You do not receive any further payment.

    Some questions though:

    1) when you set up the auction did you show a postage cost
    2) Were you selling in a category where postage was allowed
    3) Did you send the invoice or did the buyer just pay.

Do not put details of the auction number on this open forum, but if you want me or one of the other regulars to take a look then use the pm function to send the info.

Sounds like you didnt put the postage price in the auction. If its a Free P&P category you need to add it to your start price

Whatever you were paid is the total amount you'll receive. It's very rare you'll find a buyer sending more money to a seller after the item turns up.

Did you list in a category that requires free P+P? If so, you need to factor the postage price into the starting price (so a 99p DVD start becomes a £1.70 start, for example).

This kind of thing is one of the reasons I don't like free listing times. You get people that don't really know what they're doing listing loads of stuff, then having problems when it comes to completing the sales. It gives new buyers a negative impression of ebay as a whole, and can drive them away.

Don't take that personally OP, everyone makes mistake, even the most seasoned ebay-er can screw up from time-to-time, and the more you use ebay the more you'll get used to it.

I have seen the auction and will pm the OP with some suggestions. The auction correctly shows the postage and it is not in a free postage category.

My only thought is that buyer for some reason decided to remove the postage amount before payment.

Thanks for your help everyone, especially soolin for pm me the answer, I'm too ashamed to say on a public forum what it is, and show my stupidity for all to see, I will just say on checking my paypal account as Soolin suggested everything is present and correct.

    Ah, yes....

Your total sold figures in "My eBay" will only show the sale prices of the items not including postage....

It's just the odd way ebay can say 'total' and not actually mean it!
