Confused novice

As you may know I have recently registered with ebay and started selling. I am also looking to buy a bike and have been watching various auctions. I am confused as to what is happening here, is there a reasonable explanation for this:
This has surely sold for £32?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7235559524&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
but it has been relisted immediately?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7238200573&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_ReBay_Pr4_PcY_BID_IT
I have tried searches on ebay and here to find an explanation but with no luck.

Doesn't look like shilling, so bang goes that theory.
The bidder is in Manchester and bike is in Cheshire, so maybe the bidder bid without knowing it was collection only?
Maybe the buyer doesn't want to buy it as they have bought one elsewhere?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
You could mail the seller and ask why it has been relisted if it had 'sold'?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0

If the buyer changed their mind, surely the seller would be obliged to offer it to the next bidder?A house isn't a home without a cat.

Ah, i see, was never good with Geography
The seller wouldn't have to offer it to the next bidder, although you would assume they would do that to save relisting it.
Why not mail the buyer, tell them you were interested in the bike and were too late to place a bid before it was won, but you are confused as it is back up for sale again? I'd also ask if there is anything else wrong with the bike that was not on the description as the original winning bidder has now seemed to have backed out of the sale.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
I wasn't that much. If it was selling for next to nothing I might have been interested but I'm not paying £30+ for a bike that may need another £15-£20+ spending on it. I was keeping an eye on it to see what it sold for. I've seen something else I'm confused about too:ribboninthesky wrote:...Why not mail the buyer, tell them you were interested in the bike....

which is marked as "The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the minimum bid or reserve amount." What "minimum bid" amount? What "reserve"? It was listed at 0.99, no reserve both times.

It's just a typical e-Bay line sellers choose when ending a listing.
You can end it and choose the above you have quoted, or a seller can end a listing to sell to the highest bidder.
Seller might have sold it elsewhere. Seller might have meant to start it at £5 instead of 99p, seller may have ended the auction for other reasons.
The first question you asked, the bike could have 'sold' and then have been relisted for numerous reasons.....the only way to find out is to mail the seller and ask them.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0
