Lloyds TSB Airmiles Duo Credit Card

Hi,

Im considering applying for the above credit card as they're offering 1,500 airmiles once you spend £10. According to the sight this is worth 2 free flights to a Zone 1 city.

But im interested in a Zone 2 flight. But it doesnt say if this is a free return flight or just one way.

Was wondering if anyones tried this offer and if they could answer my question.

They moved me to this credit card without asking me and certainly without my permission. And I didn't get any airmiles for the trouble they caused me

1500 miles is one free return flight to zone 2. I've done it.

The only gotcha is you must book at least one night's hotel through them, not necessarily fitting in with the flight.

A bit off topic But, if you have this card, Lloyds also offer a minimum of 6% discount on any holiday that is on offer via a travel agent, instead of airmiles. I have this card, but never used it, and was browsing through a new Lloyds info leaflet, re airmiles. I had already priced a holiday up with Cosmos, rang Lloyds and yes they could offer me a better price. The girl was very helpful, she did keep telling me that airmiles were a better deal, but went ahead and booked my holiday for me, via Cosmos. I saved nearly £100 on the Cosmos price. (Exact same holiday, and all the booking info has come via cosmos).

I managed to book 1 night in a Bangkok hotel on completely different night for £14 which i did not use just to qualify for the free flights...

My husband and I have just been to Prague with free flights (we both got a Lloyds TSB Airmiles Duo CC) and we booked 4 nights in a hotel there for £200 all in. We didn't think that was too bad for the both of us although I'm sure someone somewhere will say they got it cheaper somewhere else.

As far as I can see this important detail is missing from the info on this offer (but is on the Lloyds site)...

You have to be a new customer. I'm not sure if that means new to Lloyds or new to their cards but I think it should be noted wherever MSE mentions this offer. All of the other "strings" which devalue this offer should IMHO be mentioned up front.

In short don't trust Lloyds, I never have!

Please MSE, consider including this detail in a more prominent position!
