Best Dual Fuel Provider

I'm helping a friend move into a new property towards the end of the month and they asked me for help in getting an energy provider. They currently live in accomodation where all the utilities are included in the rent so doesn't have previous details to get anywhere on these comparison sites with.
Does anyone have any clue what providers there are and who would be best to have both elec and gas with?
Cheers

No answer really, but dual fuel is not always the cheapest option, but may be easiest for new property then re-asess after first bill & useageWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0

The industry standard consumption figures are 3300 kwhs for elec and 20500 kwhs for gas. That will get you started but its a number of years out of date, actual normal consumption is around 4k for elec and 18k for gas.
Take those figures as estimates for a 3 bed house family of 4, but as the other posted said sign up to something that looks cheap but doesn't have a cancellation fee and then switch after a few months.
And somewhere on this site there is a guide for getting cash back for switching using the various comparison sites, find it and use it....0
