  • Hello again! We charge £125 for the first applicant then £75 for any additional applicant. It does vary from agent to agent, and some areas are more expensive than others so it's wise to check all fees out (and get them in writing) before you embark on the application process.

  • Hi again Princessamy86.

Could you let me know,if you dont mind.

If I put down a holding deposit of £400 which was to take a property off the market & to stop others viewing it is it allowed for the estate agents to put it back on the market when they want if the tenant still hasnt moved in?

Hope to hear from you ;)
  • We don't deal with holding deposits, we just take the application fee on a first come first served basis and that is enough to hold the property for you. I don't have any experience with holding deposits, sorry.

A holding deposit is something the tenant puts down to commit to sign the contract to rent and in return the LL agrees not to rent it to someone else. It's a commitment on both sides for the short window while the contract is set up and credit checks are done - if the tenant doesn't sign after that window it goes back on the market for rent... people have explained this on all your other threads many times. It's usually a window of about 2 weeks by which a LL will expect a contract signed.
