I have just written a lengthy reply to you all individually but when clicked submit it disappeared, so I'm sorry but I will have to leave a short version : )

I really appreciate all of your advice, we have decided not to have a host on the invites. they will simply say 'you are invited to celebrate' blah blah, as many of you have said I don't think it will be noted by anyone, and we're happy with it so thats all that matters! It's a real eye opener this wedding business. I've also realised just how much my friend is doing for me, as before i was only focusing on the people who didn't want to be involved not the person who has helped me with everything so far, the one who has got excited over everything for me, and is more excited than me for the wedding! x

aww im soo pleased you feel better about things , its nice that you have 1 person you can do wedding chats and shopping with its nice to have that , i did have a friend thats sort of helped me but she is 200 mile away and helped me through facebook lol but i thnk my h2b has got something planned as i saw a message from her on his phone i didnt read it cos i trust them think hes getting her down to the weding it will be amazing if he does but they definatly planning something but i havent dug any deeper as i dont want to ruin the suprisse xx happy planning hun xx

  • Debs - thats fantastic, I can't wait ot hear what you're supprise is/was? Your friend sounds lovely too, to have taken time to help you even though she's miles away! how exciting.

I can't believe I got myself into such a tizzle over invites! no more tears will be shed over silly little things like this, I'm hoping I can try and enjoy the planning now I have my mind straightend out as to what is actually important to us! If my family aren't interested then thats their choice, on the day I'm sure everything will turn out fine.

I don't think you can say silly little things because when you plan a wedding, all those little things add up to big ones if you allow them too. Tackle them 1 at a time and you know we are always here to set you on the right track if you get lost along the way.:T
  • Hey there Cleo, I just wanted to see that you are ok? I have had a bit of a time like this where I thought my Mum wasn't interested and now I'm not speaking to my bestfriend at all, she was supposed to be my bridesmaid! Nightmare but getting sorted out, with Mum anyway!

Anyway, on the invites I put from myself and my oh. It just saved all the hassle of working out what it should say and we are paying for most of it anyway.

I think you should put whatever you feel comfortable with, also with what pleases you instead of pleasing everyone else. We tried to please everyone else at first but have definitely learned that it is our wedding and noone else's and you can't please evryone all the time!

Hope you are ok Tiger xx
