How to remove rust marks from stainless steel sink...?

I left a couple of empty food cans in the sink to soak before recycling them and now there are rust marks in the sink. Have tried various cleaning products that we already had and although some of the rust has come off, there's still some remaining.
Does anyone know how I can get rid of it please?

Autosol from Halfords...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

I believe Autosol is your best bet which I see someone has already suggested. My step-mum renovates rusty old Silver Cross prams and swears by it.
In the meantime, roll up a ball of tinfoil with hot water and washing up liquid, that sometimes works.0 -
I second the nylon scourer and add a little elbow grease. Works a treat for me.0

Have you tried soaking in vinegar?0

Thanks everyone for your help :-)
I've already tried the nylon scourer - it did get most of the rust off (usually gets rid of all of it) but not this time. Think I may have left the cans in the sink for too long...
I'll try Autosol at the weekend and see what happens!0 -
I'll second the barkeepers friend, that and a bit of scotchbrite will shift most things.0
