I would highly recommend Camping Resort Sanguli Salou, it's 11/2 hrs south of Barcelona and close to Reus Airport. Having camped all over France this is the cleanest, best run campsite I have been to - you could eat your dinner off the toilet floors, cleaners there all day long! The amenities were brilliant and you could walk to the beach and shops. :jCambrils a bus ride away is a great place to visit. The campsite has lovely bungalows as well as mobile homes. Having holidayed in spain and france this year, i would go to Spain, France is too expensive.

Lucy, like you i'm from N Ireland and am planning to book with Siblu (taking advantage of the refer a friend and using Tesco vouchers). We're thinking of flying to Nantes (from Dublin Ryanair) or La Rochelle (from Belfast Flybe) and staying at St. Jean de Monts. We've been quoted £926 for 10 days at the start of July but i'm hoping that we'll get a better offer closer to the time. Can't do anything til the flights are released anyway.
  • It would be great to leave the booking as late as possible but l think with 3 wee ones, l can't risk the best accommodation being booked as the popular family camps seem to sell quickly. I know l hate the thoughts of shelling out maybe more but l will just have to avoid looking at any late deals/offers next year so l don't sicken myself..:o

    Cheers

I've heard great reports from Sanguli and Cambrils Park, and really close to the airport, but flights from Belfast to Reus are soo expensive.. might go in June now, to keep the price down. Have to take my son out of school (p1) for a week.... Thanks
  • Hi Lucycan, Dan from Siblu Holidays here. Just to add a couple of thoughts to what has been said above - the Siblu Holidays deposit is actually £25 at the moment, and booking early is advisable if you are travelling to Spain, as it helps ensure you get the accommodation you want, especially important if you are travelling with children. If you are flying from Belfast you can also go to La Rochelle on the west coast (Charente Maritime), and Avignon on the south coast (for Languedoc), and Nice (Cote d'Azur), which are all brilliant regions for families. Hope we see you soon!
