Advice needed - delivery timescale

Hi
I ordered a shower enclosure on the B&Q website on 2/08/09, delivery was stated as being usually within 2 weeks. On 5/08/09, we received a phonecall to say delivery would be 3 weeks.
At the end of 3 weeks, I called B&Q who told me their supplier was out of stock of the shower enclosure but they would have stock on 28/09/09 and should be delivered to me the following week.
On 28th I rang B&Q again and was asked to call back 01/09.
On 01/09 I rang the supplier directly who have now told me they still have no stock but have requested a stock transfer from Manchester to Enfield. They could not tell me when stock would arrive and could not guarantee that once stock arrived at Enfield it would be allocated to me, and suggested I call back at the end of the week when , hopefully, they would be able to tell me more!!
I ordered the shower when the 75% off promotion was running and Asked B&Q if they could supply one in stock at the reduced price - they said no. I've also asked for compensation as it is now holding up the builders but they said it needs to be delivered and installed before they would look at any claim.
Any advice on my rights would be gratefully received

Cancel. Go elsewhere. Don't use B&Q again.If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
