Well, Pickle, here I am to give you the 'leather injection' you requested on my thread :D

Unfortunately, I have no idea what a 'leather injection' is, so you'll have to have a cup of tea instead :coffee: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Come on lass, you can do it! Do you have any time in the morning? Are you usually more productive in the morning? I sometimes find when it gets this late at night, I can spend 2 hours agonising over something that would take me 15 minutes in the morning - if this is the same with you, can you go to bed now and get up early tomorrow?

What's the penalty for handing in your homework late? Have you told anyone it'll be late? How much have you got left to do?

Depending on all your answers to those questions, what I personally would do is get up and have a good stretch :j :j and perhaps a drink of water. Then I'd set the timer for 15 minutes (I do that for everything, only way to get me to do anything sometimes :rotfl:), and sketch out EXACTLY what I had left to do. I'd probably also decide how much time each mini task would take. Then I'd set the timer for another 15 minutes, and get on with the first task (and possibly the second, depending on how mini they were).

After that, I'd decide whether I was awake enough to do another 15 minutes, or whether I was going to do it in the morning.

Above all, DON'T sit there staring into space using up valuable sleeping/working time! At this time of night, if you're not working you need to be sleeping, so use your time productively!

Quite happy to have a bit of a race on with you if you want to? I too will get a drink of water and crack on for 15 minutes and report backif you like :D Always motivating to feel like someone else is down there with you :rotfl:

Well, where have you vanished to?! Doing your homework I hope! :T :T

I've done my 15 mins dancing around the kitchen, and am just setting the timer for 15 minutes - will pop back in then and see how you're getting on! :j :j

Reporting in after 15 minutes of head mangling :rotfl: hope you're cracking on nicely! :T :T

Got a dilemma now - laptop is about to run out of battery, can I be bothered to run up to the attic to get the plug, or do I stop for the evening?!

Oh Cheery, you sweetheart - thanks for all the kicking! :)

BTW, a 'leather injection' is slang for a kick up the bum...leather shoes and all that. ;)

As for the work, I've done none. :( It was due in this week, and is lateish, and I'm working at 10 am in the morning, and sending it in tomorrow night is not going to make much difference, but I PROMISED myself that I was going to practice music every night this week so when I finally got the time to study/practice I practiced before it got too late. I then decided it wasn't worth starting studying as I finished at 4 pm last night, but I will do it tomorrow after work (3 pm finish).

Sorry to get you to bother with me when I'm being rubbish, but I just HAD to practice, cos I've been a bit rubbish lately at doing so, and since I'm expecting the imminent arrival of a very expensive version of what I play, I really need to be able to justify the ridiculous expense! :rotfl:

No need to explain yourself to me Pickle! :D I'm the world's best at thinking of Extremely Important Reasons why I couldn't do what I was meant to be doing :rotfl: Hope you get it done though - and how exciting, a new instrument! :T :T

It's partially that, partially true. ;) And I have to get it done, else I don't get my massage diploma on Monday. I should have had it in already, but for myriad reasons, I haven't. My teacher will hate me for dumping a big lot of marking on his plinth at the last minute, but I hope he will forgive me. If not, my sports massage course might be *interesting* as I reckon he will probably be teaching it! :rotfl:

As for the instrument, it is exciting, but cos I've paid such a stupid amount for a top-end instrument, I feel that I should be *worthy* of it, if that makes any sense, and I am sooooooo far from that stage! I need to practice til my fingers hurt!

Yes, but it'll be MUCH more exciting practicing on a shiny new expensive instrument ;)

Evening everyone, what's everyone been up to? Think I need a bit of a leather injection myself - got my tax return to do  and I can't seem to get motivated!

Cancelled a night out tonight because it would have cost £60 and I'm regretting it already - I'm sooooooooo bored!! Never realised the TV's so bad on a Saturday!
