Student finance

Was late applying for maintenance loan and tuition fee loan - does anyone know how long I will have to wait until these get paid into my account or do you think there is a chance it will all come through for university?

You usualy get paid first week when going to university but as you have only just applied I wouldn't expect it for at least a month.

I think you're being very optimistic there, I am still advising at least 8-10 week turn-around for applications.

If you find yourself struggling at the start of term, you need to see your student services when you get to uni and see if they can give you any help.

I did at least. But heh I didn't think it would be as long as 10 weeks. lol @ people who applied in last 2 months. Glad I did it in Feb!
  • i filled out a change of circumstance form as i changed univeristy choice about one week before starting (end of septemberish) and recieved my loan and grant middle of october
  • I have applied late for student finance. I have been advised today that I may not be entitled to full assistance due to previous study. The person who advised is assuming this has they need to pull my old records. If i do get funding cut will i lose out on much and i s there any other option/avenues i can go down to get the needed support.
  • I have applied late for student finance due to getting through the back door to University. I have had previous assistance and have been advised that it is more than likely i will not get full assistance. Does anyone know how badly i might be affected and also are there any other routes./ avenues i go through to get nesscary funding. I will be 27 when i return to University in the next couple of weeks.

Student finance Have had my application since May, I have started my course and still nothing. I am alone with my son on my year abroad and cannot get through to SF, so sending emails but no-one responding. How can this be that they do not pay by the time course started, and have application since May?? ( I applied in FEB, but had to make a simple correction and then it went all bad from there) have sent chnage of circumstances form 2x, plus letter from Uni 2x....stuck on year abroad now with no money. :(
