Someone calling about being able to claim charges

Hi All

I have had 3 calls this morning from some foreign woman. She says I can reclaim my charges and she was going to send me some forms to send to my bank. Apparently banks are now told they have to pay back this money to us. I told her I don't think I have any charges in the past 6 years. But she says I do. She wouldn't tell me where she was calling from and was asking for my name. At which point I put down the phone.

Anyone else been receiving any calls? Or know who this may have been? Sounds suspicious to me.

There is your first lie from them.

Banks dont publish any data about your charges. So, if she has information then it has been obtained fraudulently.
She wouldn't tell me where she was calling from and was asking for my name.

    And there is another concern.

    Well done.

It could be an attempted fraud or it could be an incompetent claims company sales rep (and there are plenty of those). Some of which are based abroad but have UK PO boxes or UK virtual offices.

I have just been delighted by my 4th call today! They have announced themselves as universal product international?! Or something like that. Oh dear I accidently on purpose put the handset down again.

I think it is a company called UPI Ltd based in Wales.
Ask them for their Ministry of Justice authorisation number and then post up on here what it is and I'll can give you the details of how to complain about them.

Perfect! If they ever call back ...!! It's been quiet since the last call.
