I don't really know where to start, have tried on Man Utd website to no avail - I want to buy tickets for my boyfriends birthday to see Man Utd Spurs at White Hart Lane.
Whats the best way of doing this?

dunno how watching those dirty red scumbags would rank as a present...
...but anyway, you've very little chance of getting a ticket to that match - United will sell out to season ticket holders in their ballot, and Spurs will undoubtedly sell out to members, if they haven't already. Your best bet is to search on Google for football ticket agencies, but tickets will set you back an arm & a leg (face value at White Hart Lane is about £50 minimum for a game like this IIRC).0 -
The best chance you have of getting tickets for ManUre is a home Carling Cup or one of the many easy games they get in the Champions leagueIt's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0

Does he have any friends with a season ticket?
Man U have many more fans than seats available.0 -
Good idea from Pee, there's bound to be someone can't make it from SurreyIt's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0

Away tickets are very hard to come by, usually they sell out to Season Ticket holders and members don't get a look in0

As a Spurs fan I struggle to get a ticket for White Hart Lane due to there only being a 36,000 capacity and at least 50,000 Spurs season ticket holders, club members and casual fans wanting tickets. Tickets do go on general sale from time to time but they are less glamerous midweek league matches and cup ties. With only a few thousand tickets for away fans, unless you know a Man Utd season ticket holder, getting tickets is difficult.
The best way to get to a Man Utd match is to see them at home and buy one of their ticket packages.0 -
A few bitter people on this thread0

Tell him to support a real club
I haven't missed a Halifax Town game, home or away in the last 8 years, and I bet I wouldn't of spent more than what your boyfriend would of done in going to all of Manures in just 6 months.
Plus I have no trouble getting tickets0 -
You will not be able to get a ticket in the away end unless you know a season ticket holder who can get you a ticket. You'd be better off trying for a home match at Old Trafford. Sensible advice on this thread- try midweek games for a much better chance.
I'm a Liverpool fan btw and can usually find a way of getting home tickets apart from the very big European games- in 4 years or so, I've only had one or two chances to get away tickets.0 -
First Rule of ECONOMICS...
SUPPLY AND DEMAND
I don`t think you stand a chance of getting any without having friends who are spurs season tickets holders that can`t make it
and the Fact that the Halifax Supporter has NO trouble getting tickets for his games `says it all` me thinks :rotfl:
Although, fair play to him for supporting his local team and not being a glory hunter:T0
