I'm struggling knowing what to buy for my laptop. I need some speakers that are as good as the Yamaha multimedia speakers that I bought 11 years ago for my pc. A few years ago I bought a JBL speaker system (they looked like the O2 arena) for £100 from PC World which ended up being such poor quality I took them back. Can anyone give me any advice of makes which are good or suggestions please?. I have a spec of the Yamaha speakers I presently have (maybe the spec looks a bit naff being so old but the quality is excellent)...

They're about £110 but they're well worth every single penny.0

I've been a music producer on the side for years.
Why ditch the 'trusty' Yamaha's?
Funnily enough I just ordered brand new Yamaha MS50ms, active monitors - the best bang for your buck at £125 each. They give an utterly flat sound - in other words they reproduce the sound the music engineers created, but this is lost of Joe Public than tend to want an un natural boosted sound.
Yamaha made the greatest monitor speakers of all time in 1978 - the NS10's, which are still in much demand today, so don't assume something new will be better.0 -
I'm not ditching Yamahas. No way. I live at 2 different addresses and so I have my latop here and no decent speakers, other property has the PC and speakers. If I could I would buy the same speakers, but soooo expensive for the new Yamaha stuff. The quality is amazing on them.
Thank you for your replies people. :beer:Whether we win or lose, that we played at all was a winning decision.2011 wins £12,2922012 wins ...Thank you to all who post on here!!!! :A0
