Brought by USA buyer wants sending to UK

I have sold a number of items to USA buyer. One of these items I listed the postage as international signed for only due to its value and as the rest of the items aren't that heavy happy to send the items for the international signed for cost. But the buyer wants it sent to UK so can save on the postage costs. Is this covered? I read the help pages on ebay and paypal but they don't seem to make it clear. If the buyer claimed they had not arrived but I had proof they had arrived at the address they had given would I be covered?
The buyer is fairly new to ebay but has no feedback that would suggest any problems. The high value item I sold before but the buyer refused to pay as didn't want it sent international signed for just normal airmail depsite the price being in the listing!

i had an American buyer ask me to send to a London address which she said was a family members address who she was visiting, i was dubious but reluctantly agreed as the item was only worth a tenner so i decided to risk it, had the item been of any real value though i would have refused to send to any address other than the registered paypal address as unless you do you won't be protected against paypal chargeback’s.
Incidentally my sale worked out ok but i wouldn't advise you do the same if the item is of any value.0 -
Is payment being made by Paypal. Isn't there somewhere on here that said you can get them to put the other address on Paypal so that you would then be protected? What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Yes you are correct. A buyer can add the UK address to their paypal account and choose that for shipping. Then when that address is in the one shown by paypal as OK to send you can defend a chargeback by using a tracked and signed for service.MrCol1100 The buyer is fairly new to ebay but has no feedback that would suggest any problems

Thanks for your help. I didn't know you could add an address for another country on your paypal account so if they do that I will send it to that one.0
