We have our line rental with BT but our calls with Sky...
I have an answerphone which is fine as long as the phone ins't engaged as then any incoming calls get the BT answer 1571.
I do not want BT answer 1571...is there any way at all to get rid of this?

You can cancel 1571 online - click HERE to avoid spending ages trying to cancel by phone.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Thank you Heinz...I have filled in the form.
I looked online in my account as is says you can do it in there but I have totally failed to find the 'cancel' option...could add loads of features, not remove it.0 -

From your online account the Calling features option leads to page with a Change features link, after which you can untick what you do not want.0 -

Yes, I found the same problem - which is why I saved the link to that online form when I found it.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. The Calling Features I have are indicated by a tick in a small square box. They untick easily. The Messaging Features (which I don't have) have a dot in a small circle on this machine. In the same section there is a 'No thanks' option.0 -
Seriously there isn't on mine when I looked...but I followed the link Heinz posted and the feature was removed yesterday.0
