Freeware For Converting MIDI to WAV?

I need to convert a Midi file to a WAV file so I can burn it onto a CD.

I can find lots of shareware to do the job, but I wondered if anyone knew of a freeware program that could do this conversion for me?

Can't you just play the midi, and use audacity or similar to record it to wav?

This never occured to me. I don't use audacity, but I'll consider this method if there are no freeware converters out there.

Cheers for the response. I've had a look at the technical specs of this program, and it doesn't seem to support MIDI files.

I only need this one backing track put on a CD so it can be played on any CD player. The person its for is going back home (abroad) on Wednesday. I was hoping that there was a freeware program out there that would do the job, but because of time limits, I may have to use a shareware program, then delete it after I've finished (or hunt for a keygen....lol).
