every time i press the arrow up,down, left or right key there is a buzzing noise coming from that area, its now getting worse and makes the noise even when i do not touch any of the keys

i do not know what/if part or components are there

just wondered if anyone had any ideas for me please

  • It sounds like it is a vibration to me. When you apple pressure to that area, does it stop? Have you tried moving it to a different surface?

have you used the arrow keys alot? over the 15 months. Contact where you got it with your consumer rights to hand, if you haven't used those keys excessively or abused it in anyway then you can claim it wasnt fit for purpose at time of purchase as they should last longer than 15 months . I have a 5 yr old Acer laptop, the keys work fine even with half the letters rubbed off, and CD and A: drives are shot. and I used my laptop almost everyday for 5 years both at work and home typing up reports and such.

  • I dont see how the psu could be a problem. Most likely to be the hard drive and I guess it could be sign that it's going to fail but a problem with how it's fixed into the laptop.

If this is a mechanical noise then the only things that move in a laptop are the hard drive, the optical drive, and the cpu cooling fan.

The only remaining source of low frequency noise I can think of are the speakers.

Can you tell if it is mechanical or from the speakers?
