advice for a newbie buying a blueberry plant
Hi there, homebase have a blueberry plant reduced to 9.99 and as im new to this have been reading up a bit , do i have to put it in acidic soil? im putting it in a pot 2ltr it says , would it not be good to put it in organic compost ive got loads of bags of this to use you see, but dont want to ruin the berrys i buy loads of these so thougth the plant will be good money saving mabey for next year
hopefully the pot i have is got a pound coin size hole in it is this ok? and will have it in a part shade is that ok?also was hoping to do organic any advice would be gr8 cheers;)

You have to use ericacious (acidic) soil for blueberry bushes... if you use ordinary compost it will die... at £9.99 it's not worth trying it. They also don't like tap water... you need to use rainwater.TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -
Plant in space whereby you have about 30cms to spare...
When it starts growing bluberries keep it trimmed to a reasonable size so you get a good crop of fruit
I've got my 3 in sunlight for most of the dayGod helps make my veggie patch grow. He provides everything I need.. It only fails if I do NOT do as He has told me!!
