hi, after some good advice from members on this forum, i applied for my bank charges back under the hardship ruling, i'm currently at stage 2, i have wrote to my bank, using the guide letter off here, asking for my money back and have had no reply. Now on the letter i printed off it states that the bank should respond within 14 days, they have not done, so what do i do next???

    Where did you send it?
    Which bank is it?
Have you included an income and expenditure plus notice of arrears?
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

i sent it to my local branch, as advised by yourself in an earlier post. The bank in question is HSBC, I have not inclued any evidence of income & expenditure, but my main financial problems are my current account and visa, both held at the HSBC. i'm out of work and they are aware of this so i presume they know my circumstances.

I never advise sending it to a local branch ever. I worked in a branch when I worked for the bank, so, that is not my modus operandi.
VISA is a credit card and is non priority debt so if there are charges on the account then you need to reclaim those ones as well. For HSBC I would complete and income and expenditure form:

Plus send it to this address:
    The Service Quality Team
    HSBC Bank plc
    Arlington Business Centre
    Millshaw Park Lane
    LEEDS

  • well i must be mistaken then NWSM, but I did ask the question on here, and I was told to post to my local branch, just thought it was yourself as you always answer my posts. I also read it here - see link about a quarter way down.

as I bank with HSBC and have gone down the hardship route, I didnt think I would need to send proof of arrears, because they know I'm unemployed and phone me 2-3 times a day regauarding the state of my account and visa. do you think I should send proof?
Also since I sent the letter I have been in contact with the CCCS and they have made me an appointment with an expert. Is this worth mentioning, will it help my hardship case?

I didn't say to send it to the branch or not to send it to the branch so there may have been a misunderstanding.
Proof of arrears(unemployment is not an arrears). You need to state to the bank when you were made unemployed and the effect on your ability to cover priority debt arrears.
