Help with choosing bridesmaid shoes to go with chocolate brown dress!

There's four bridesmaids and only one I know has got her shoes and they are brown.
I feel like all I've done this last two days is look at shoes!
Thinking either these or these - I like the first ones best but the second ones look more practical - but if being honest I never wear heels anyway so it's very unlikely I'd ever wear them again!
Having said that if I could find some brown 40s style heels that look dressy enough I'd happily buy them and wear them again but not really seen anything like that!
Edited to add: gold is off-limits, silver is good though!
I have dark brown shoes in this style and i've never ever wore them! What size are you Jo?? (They are M&S 6 1/2)Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
I'm a 7 or 8 depending what shop - a 6 1/2 would be a tiny bit small, but thank you for the offer

Not stalking you either - just love shoes & am home alone with too much time on my hands - my partner will just be happy I'm looking & not buying more shoes!!!"Normal is not something to aspire to - it is something to get away from" - Jodie Foster0 -
Thanks all - have been tempted by some of the linkies posted... But after much trawling of the net again...
I have found what I want my shoes to be like. Here in this pic. Sorry it's not v. big but basically shoes with a heel and ankle strap and pretty delicate looking LOL
Have found these as possibles but would prefer thinner straps. Also these are quite nice, and these (okay so you get the idea!)
NB This is provided my sis doesn't mind us brideamaids having different colour shoes so feel duty-bound to run any potential purchases by her first!Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Hi Jo, I was in Clarks the other day & there was a gorgeous pair of chocolate brown sandals, sort of satiny with a golden shimmer to them, can't see them online though, they were heels but didn't look too high. So if you're passing a Clarks have a wee nosey. I would say though if you really can't wear heels don't do it, I wore flats at our wedding & my feet were aching by the end of the night.Booo!!!0
