Ok what's going on? I won an item now its gone!!!

I won an item about 3 days ago, I told the seller I will pay on tuesday because I need to verify the paypal account and its bank holiday/weekend etc, he said ok thats fine, however, I log in today and see the item isnt on my ebay, I clicked 'all buying' and it still wast there. What shall I do? did the seller cancel or anything?

At the end of the day I told him about the situation BEFORE and AFTER I won the item, he was alright with it, so, what up now. Im new to eBay, so, I dont know that much about this kinda stuff.

Edit: When I type in the Item Number on the eBay search bat, it says I've won the item and that the sender has sent me an invoice, but why isnt it on my eBay?

Is your setting on my ebay to show auctions won in the last 24 hours? if you change it to auctions won in the last week it will be there - the thingy to choose is from is near the top right
