    Hey FF, noticed your post about Snapfish - I posted this code the other day if it's of any use (nobody else has looked at it, I swear just my name must be a turn off!) http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2111883

    xx
    Uploading pictures now :D

    Hopefully the code works for me!
  • i was always told that a stye was a sign of being over-tired....so get yourself some rest girl!!!

    & next time you get one, bath with salt water & rub the stye gently with gold a ring or somethin works well - it may be an old wives tale, but I swear it works!

    Morning all!

    Hope you are all ok today :D

    My last lot of Ebay money for the festive season arrived today so I have definitely paid off my overdraft now :j

    I need to keep myself in check at the moment, so here's where we are...

    Money

    Spends = £54
    Groceries = £69.92
    Entertainment = £59.85
    Purse = £40

    There are 20 days until payday (Well, less than that due to being paid early, but I'm treating it as a normal month)

    The £40 in my purse will pay for dinner tonight - I'm going to see We Will Rock You with some girls from work, woo!! This still leaves me with £59 in socialising money for the DFW meet on Saturday (YAAAYY!) and my best friend's birthday as well as my own.

    (I think) all my Christmas stuff is bought and pretty much everything is wrapped too. I know, I'm one of those weird folk :D I have been spending for pretty much everything on my new Tesco credit card and transferring the money into another account to cover the first bill, as my internet banking for it is view-only until they send me some kind of code. I have had to dip into my savings to cover the last Christmas present I bought and also to pay for some shares I'm buying at work (Much cheapness) Hopefully the money from ING arrives before the debit card payment for the shares comes out...!

    Right, need to get ready for work and figure out what clothes to take with me for tonight. Decisions, decisions!

    Hi F_F, hope you've been well, I've been lurking a while :D

    Here is some genuine official optic advise re: Styes. (I'm a Dispensing Optician. Sometimes the 3+ years I spent studying is useful :rotfl)

    Anyhoo, whichever chemist sold you the eyedrops for infected eyes ripped you off. A stye is not going to be helped by drops. What you need is a simple (and free! Huzzah!) hot compress!
    • Apply a warm washcloth to the eye. Hold it in place for 10 minutes. Repeat this treatment at least four times throughout the day. The warmth promotes circulation of blood to the stye and this helps the body fight the infection. The stye eventually comes to a head and drains.
    • Massage the eyelid gently (just rub it gently with your finger). This promotes the circulation of blood to the eyelid and helps reduce fluid build up in the stye.
    • See a doctor if there are no signs of improvement in three days or the stye has not healed in ten days.
    And that should help.

    Right I'll just pop off back to optician land like the little optic fairy I am. La la la la la. th0cc3a578.gif

    Thanks Clarissa, I got that email too so I'm going to have a hunt around the house for additional stuff to sell. Once that's done then no more Ebay for me until the New Year I think!

    I have some old games in the house (Playstation games, not even PS2!) Has anyone sold these on Ebay?

    Stop lurking and come out and speak to us more! Thanks for the eye advice - the compress I slapped on it on Wednesday night seemed to do the job :D I was able to wear makeup last night and shall be wearing acres of it today as I have been up since sodding half past five.

    I had a brilliant time last night at We Will Rock You - well worth seeing if you're a Queen fan. A lot funnier than I expected too :rotfl:

    The whole night cost me less than £25 as I had paid for my (small) share of the ticket last month and the girls paid for the rest as my birthday present :j This means I have money for the rest of today and shall be taking out extra pennies for the DFW meetup tomorrow, which I'm greatly looking forward to. I must post on the thread to figure out how we're going to know each other :confused: Still, I have PointyPenguin's mobile number, so if all else fails we shall go to the pub together! Pointy, if you're reading this, what time you thinking about coming through? I am really aiming to be more of an afternoon participant as I'm up at 3am for work on Sunday :eek:

    I came home last night to some very good post - I received my online banking code for the Tesco credit card so have now paid £110 of my spending off from this month :o At least I'm earning points though. I even put £2 on the card in Morrisons the other day. Every Little Helps after all :rotfl: I seem to have forgotten about two things I bought which come to about £20, so I will pay them off at the end of the month with the leftover pennies from the grocery budget.

    I also got my Tesco vouchers for December - £4.50 which is more than I was expecting :j I am going to hide them away in my M&S Sealed Tin to use them for days out when myself and Mr Fresian go to York in March.

    The best thing I received yesterday though was a little parcel from the lovely moo2moo who sent me stamps for use in my card-making adventures, some gold stars for a-sticking to the cards and some Miffy stickers. I was like a kid at Christmas when I got them, thanks again missus :T

    Right, I have grand plans of folding washing before work and making it into the office before 8.58am :o

    WOO FRIDAY!!

    Hi f_f
    that's the problem with the early games, less people play so more chance of winning, but the prize isn't very good. I once shared a winning LINE with 2 other people. I really couldn't be bothered being without £20 for 2 days to take out 33p though so I put it on the penny game and won a fiver. It's the only time I've done it, since then I've always taken the money out.

    Is Mr fresian playing bingo yet?

  • HI Been lurking for a while. For PS 1 games try Amazon - might take a bit longer but they sell for good amounts.
  • I got a £3 win this morning too FF - there must have been something in the air! I'm repeating the exercise of pre-buying for those early games again for tomorrow so we'll see - I even splashed out a whole 60p on buying cards on the 1p game! :D

    Glad you enjoyed WWRY - I've been to the London version a couple of times and love it - I'm a big Queen fan anyway but tbh I would think it would even appeal to the majority of less keen fans.
