We get paid early for Christmas meaning that there are.....18 days until payday. Sadly that means that when I get paid on the 18th there will be 35 days until the next payday    I'm thinking of putting my whole wage into another account and not touching it until my normal payday of the 23rd. What do you think internets?
Apart from money i have planned to set aside for Christmas presents, i will be leaving our salaries alone too and budgeting as normal. Usually we get paid on the 28th, but this month will be the 21st and 23rd.
Oh i must be growing up. In times past i wouldn't have given it a thought. One step at a time0 -

Woke up early, leisurely perusal of internet and slurping of coffee.
Wrapped Ebay parcels, felt virtuous.
Realised I hadn't put hot water on for shower. Had to faff about for ten minutes waiting for it to heat.
Showered, ran around trying to find clean clothes.
Went to have cereal, Mr Fresian has drunk most of the milk. Curse him.
Had toast. Now not enough bread for lunchtime and my hard earned Boots points will have to go on a sandwich.
Now - it's 8.13am and I haven't filled my flasks or applied make-up. I think I might miss my bus and I have given up on being in on time.
It's a good thing I type quickly...:rotfl:

Can you work out what you have surplus to pay to the debt and clear that now which will knock a wee bit extra off the overall interest and then stash the cash you need to live in another accont till payday?Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

No point in doing this for me. The interest on my loan (only outstanding debt) is calculated on the day the loan is taken out and any capital repayments don't affect it, which is why I have been hiding the money in a savings account. I will get an interest rebate when I repay it, and that's it. Harrumph. Your plan is wise, but my money is mainly going to savings just now.
Today I have been bad and bought cups of tea, but this is negated by the truly sh*tty, spreadsheet-infested day I had at work. Honest.
I have phoned up to close my Barclaycard. Hopefully the man on the phone understood that this is what I wanted and has acted accordingly, if not complaint letter to be written. I figure that this will be £1,000 less available credit showing on my file.
I have also found some property p0rn. I am updating my CV and going to investigate job opportunities/lack thereof when I visit the parents in the Frozen North. Just on the off-chance you understand

oh - pretty cottage FF - Portree is a lovely place too - mind you, this is true of Skye generally!
I reckon your plan to stash the salary until "real" payday is pretty sound - if it's not in the account, it can't get spent, can it!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I am so looking forward to the meet. What time are you thinking of being in Edinburgh for? I am having to remember that I can't get too p*ssed as I'm working at 4am on the Sunday morning
Not long to go now. I am not sure what time to come across as no one on the meet thread has suggested a time. I have to go to the farmers' market first so will probably be across early afternoon as I am going to get the train across. I checked the buses but it was £8 with booking fee and train is only £10.40 and with the bus I would need to pick times etc. Much better with the train as I can be free to decided when to arrive/leave.
Why are you working at 4am? Surely this is a little unusual.
I won £7.50 on BB today taking actual winning to £5 so far which is not too bad. I don't think there is any logic to it all just luck.
Well done with the card making I went through a phase of doing them and people do really appreciate them.
I really want to live in that cottage it is lovely.
I concur stash the salary otherwise January will be the longest month ever.

My lovely mum emailed me some Anchor codes, so I have ordered my baking set!
I can only add five codes a day (she sent me loads!) and once I have another five, which I will do tomorrow, I should have a couple spare if anyone is collecting. I want the other five to order some free prints from Snapfish which will be used for Christmas presents for folk.
I had a p00 day today (many reasons, just an Eeyore day I think) and moaned to my lovely best friend who then popped over and drove me to Tesco at 10pm to get Ben and Jerrys on 2 for £3. I now have four tubs nesting in my freezer. I hope they breed

Property p0rn is loverly. I'd love to live somewhere like that. Sadly whilst we're semi-isolated we're not remote enough for my liking. I'd be quite content with a few thousand sheep for neighbours.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

Morning all!
£10.15 now withdrawn from Ebay as the final item has sold (Whirrooooo!!) and another massive win of £1.10 has been withdrawn from BB this morning.
My savings account is now closed, so I had a balance of £1070 sitting in my spare current account  Having just paid off my credit card (With the exception of £27ish which I will get when I refund some clothes to Primark) I am sending £892 to my ING savings account.
I need to find a savings account with close to instant access to hide the money in which will give me a good rate, as I think the ING rate reduces soon, but for the meantime it's a good amount of savings to have! I'm just plugging all my spare cash to my A&L account at the moment, but think this will have a credit balance (!) when I get paid so I will send any credit balance to ING as well.
Still waiting for:
Quidco
Paypal transfers x 2
Reward money from Halifax (£10)
I've also received my expenses from work to pay for Christmas festivities. My friends at work paid for me to go with them to see We Will Rock You on Thursday, so the money from work will pay for dinner first. I'm planning on having money left over from this - I'm not spending £35 on dinner
