I can't tell from that if I'm right or wrong (although I was out on the floorspace)! "Minimal work in garage", "house" ???

Maybe he had to run again. I blame the iPhone for all this lack of attention.
    sorry!!

Most of the work is on the house. Providing a single floor rear extension + some work upstairs to support moving the boiler and stack

I mentioned the garage as the extension brings the opportunity of using some garage space as internal space more for larder/laundry, and hence needs a bit of work - cheap flooring, some shelving and plumbing for utilities

Currently asked for 3 quotes one did not respond - so that is an option

I knew prices differ a lot from the north and south divide but you have shocked me (iam in the far north)
For a 15 sq metre single storey ext with average fittings and fixtures with a pitched roof to be priced at 25-30k is extortionate where i live.
How can they justify £600 per square metre for fixtures and fittings? I think there trying to undercut the 1k per sq metre rule and adding it on for fixtures and fittings?
Think i should be in London...!
:D MOVE ALONG........ nothing to see here..!
  • Have you asked what they would charge you if you were to supply materials and work for cash?

I aim to provide the high ticket items with builder agreement so it works.

Even at £40K that's a lot of cash not sure about that
