Why would you uninstall a perfectly good antivirus that you've just paid £50 for, just to install a free antivirus? This doesn't make sense.
Complete removal instructions for this worm are on the Symantec link posted in this thread. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Homepage hijacking can be trapped by SpywareGuard (note that since it uses heuristics it hasn't had an update for years). The other relevant JavaCool software is SpywareBlaster (which gets updates about every week or less).
SpywareGuard worked for me this very morning, when someone wanted to show me the VCodec trojan. System Restore was about the only thing that got rid of it properly!

Personally I dont rate Norton at all and I know a lot of people that feel the same.
A very good free online anti virus is Trend Micro. If you type that into google will give you the url, sorry I dont know it off the top of my head. Hope you are able to remove the virus.Wins: Feb - Sam and Amanda DVD, Nanny Series, £50 Mother Day Goodies box0 -
