Transferring Line Rental - Pitfalls?

Hi everyone!
I currently pay line rental to the Post Office and get broadband and home phone provided by Orange on their free Home Starter package.
Due to some technical issues with setting up the Home Phone service, I will be switching to the Orange Home Max service (same as Home Starter but no cap on broadband and Orange provide line rental).
Therefore I will be switching line rental provider. Are there any pitfalls with this process? Do I need to call the Post Office or do Orange inform them? I currently pay the bill to the Post Office via quarterly Direct Debit, should I cancel this as soon as I switch or after my next payment?
Many thanks!

You cant have your line rental with PO Homephone and use another supplier to cps your calls.
Only BT allow you to cps your calls to another supplier.0
