Shared Wireless Connection - Help

Hope someone can help me - a friend set up a shared wireless connection yesterday and all seems to be working ok but I now have a better speed of 12.0 mbps instead of the former single broadband connection of 1.1mbps.

Will this cost me more?

I tried to get a screen grab of the network connections page but couldn't insert it so will try to explain;
At the top is BROADBAND ; Virgin.Net Broadband, disconnected, Firewalled, WAN Miniport (PPOE)
Next is DIAL UP; Virgin.Net, disconnected, Firewalled, Agere Systems PCI Soft Modem. By this is Virgin Net, disconnected, Firewalled, SpeedTouch USB ADSL PPP.
Next is LAN or High-Speed Internet; Local Area Connection 3; Connected, Shared, Firewalled, Thomson ST Remote NDIS De..... By this is Local Area Connection, Connected, Firewalled, Realtek RTL8139/810x Family ......
Underneath is 1394 Connection; Connected, Firewalled, 1394 Net Adapter.

I cannot see that Virgin.Net is still my ISP anywhere. Is it?

Also, my Network icon near the clock in the taskbar (the thing that looks like 4 steps with a ball on top) is lit up in my daughter's screen but not in mine. Does this matter?

Finally, I've downloaded the printer drivers onto her computer but she can't get it to print. Do I need to do something else?

Sorry this is so long..........:o

    The speed you're getting is for the network not the ADSL connection.

    your internet connection is running through the router and not the PC which is why it's showing virgin.net as disconnected.
    Yes virgin is still your ISP as that's who 'owns' your BB line so you can't connect to the net without a valid Virgin BB account.

    Not sure about the 4 steps and a ball on top but your network connection icon should be a computer with green squiggles coming off it.

    Where's the printer connected to? if it's on your PC then you'll need to activate file and print sharing on your machine. If it's connected to the router then you can set up her connection using it's IP address when adding a printer.
