Three novels for a quid in Asda

I was in Asda this morning and found some paperback books reduced. These included a number of 'three in one' books including Tami Hoag, George Pelacanos and also (I think) Ian Rankin. These had stickers showing reduced from £14.99 to £3.
I picked up the Tami Hoag one and took it to the self scanning checkout where it scanned as being £1. I've never read anything by Tami Hoag before so I don't know if I'll like this or not by for a quid it's worth a go.

Thanks for that. in Asda, Wavertree I managed to pick up 3 'chicklit' books in a box and also 3 thriller/crime novels in box, each for £1, so added them to my present stash.:D0

Have read some Tami Hoag and they are fine. Don't particularly remember the story but do tend to remember if I dislike an author so I can avoid them in future.0 -
Quick update. This morning they had a decent selection of books and packs of books all now showing as £1 on the SEL. This included a number of three in one books and multipacks as well as normal books.
Off the top of my head I remember seeing John Grisham, Alex Kava and Jonathan Kellerman but there were quite a few others. Also a three book set of Bratz books for the kids (the female ones at least!).The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water

I picked these up for my Boyfriends' Christmas stash this week too - brilliant present, as we like the same books- I'll get to read them when he's finished with them...!!!

I favour the Times, Charles - but then I shop at Tesco, Sainsbury and Morrison as well as Asda.......

Anbody understand this comment.
I live in an area which has a small Tesco and a large Asda. Asda are cheaper than Tesco, at least for what we buy, so we choose to shop there. I suspect lots of other people in the area, readers or not, shop at Asda for the same reason.
