Quick Recorded delivery question

Hi folks. To save time at the P.O. tomorrow I have got a Recorded delivery sticker for my parcel already. My question is which bit do I stick on the parcel? It seems to have 4 peelable barcode labels on it. I've looked on Royal Mail website but it isnt any help.

it depends on the type
if its the type with 2 long barcoded stickers plus 2 smaller item number stickers then the whole lot goes on the packet.


if its this type(ignore its SD)
then its the lower section,blow the barcode for post office branch use

Thanks Custardy. It isnt the type pictured but the other sort. I am more familiar with the one pictured, and knew what to do with that one!

I don't think you're expected to use these anymore - last time I used recorded delivery I just asked for it at the window, they stick the relevant part to the parcel and you get the barcode number on the receipt for tracking.

the crown office where i live always takes my own labels off and sticks on its own cause it cant use the ones shown in the pic anymore, they have to print it off the machine, annoying as it doubles time in PO whilst they type all in to machine, rather than stamp the back of the old type!
