Hi, I'm trying to connect an old Freeview box, via a cheap VCR, to a cheap TV. The FV box, VCR & TV each have one scart socket only.
I'm guessing a scart splitter on the VCR would do the trick, so FV - VCR - TV. However, I've come unstuck when it comes to actually finding the right one on Amazon/ebay, spoilt for choice! Do I need a scart splitter with or without a switch? And are all scart splitters bidirectional?
Any help most gratefully received!

Short answers are:
Argos have a splitter with switches on the front. The main lead goes into the TV and the other sockets would have the leads from Freeview and VCR in them (been there, done that)
SCART itself is bi-directional and (as far as I can remember) I didn't have any trouble with the one from Argos (here):wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -
Many thanks for the info & recommendation! Good to know scarts are bi-directional, I guess it wouldn't make any difference which junction the splitter is at, as everything would read everything else.
Thanks again.0 -
They also have them in Poundland and PoundWorld, etc.
