Just thought it might be helpful to remind those who want to move funds out of First Direct following the reduction in rates to 4.75% that the first opportunity to do it without major loss of interest is May 2nd.
No interest is paid for any month in which a withdrawal is made so it makes sense to remove the total balance (including interest credited on May 1st) because if you withdraw less than the full balance no interest will be earned on any funds left in the account until June 1st.
