ive had this phone for 2years and its developed a problem.it turns on but i cant see anything on the display, the back light comes on and sometimes i get a brief flash from the screen,it will make calls,i tried ringing my home number. I tried updating the software but the nokia updater cant find the phone when its plugged into the usb. Im just wondering if the lcd has given up,if so id just buy another off ebay and fix it myself but i dont want to start buying bits if someone tells me its something else. just thought id try here, anyone else had this problem with a nokia?

Might just be screen but if its not updating either could be something else wrong as well.
Its an old phone now - be it a decent robust one.
Did you drop it somewhere?
Perhps spending tenner on a new screen might be worth it before ditching it.0 -

you can get a new screen from ebay for about £10 - it tends to be a compatible one so some of the colours might not show the same but it does a decent job
be really careful when changing it so as not to let dust get under the case
