Pre paid cards for use in Australia

Does anyone have any advice on the best way to travel with money to Australia. I have been looking at the cards and they all seem to be US $ or Euros.
(I am a bit new to this having never travelled before)

I will be travelling for 5 weeks so will need to make sure I have enough funds.

I have a amex through my account at lloyds - but do not think that is the best to use.

Thanks

I've seen a Travelex prepaid card at the BdeC in the local Sainsburys BdeC that can be loaded in Oz dolls.

The charges looked on the steep side though.

Just load the card with £££ and withdraw $$$ at the ATM, not sure what the exchange rate will be, but generally should be around AUD$2.00 to GBP£1.00
