Pre paid cards for use in Australia

Does anyone have any advice on the best way to travel with money to Australia. I have been looking at the cards and they all seem to be US $ or Euros.
(I am a bit new to this having never travelled before)
I will be travelling for 5 weeks so will need to make sure I have enough funds.
I have a amex through my account at lloyds - but do not think that is the best to use.

I've seen a Travelex prepaid card at the BdeC in the local Sainsburys BdeC that can be loaded in Oz dolls.
The charges looked on the steep side though.0 -
Just load the card with £££ and withdraw $$$ at the ATM, not sure what the exchange rate will be, but generally should be around AUD$2.00 to GBP£1.000
