why not try and find it on readit swapit ?0

Does the op sound like the type of person who will drive 20 miles to save 1p on a litre of petrol?!
The time and energy wasted on this search to save a couple of pence - you should have just bought it and be done with it.0 -
Can you sell the CD for £8 (Amazon / Play / eBay BIN) - recover your £3 and get enough to buy the book ?
Looking at the blurb on Amazon, if it does what it says then it is worth £5. Alternativly, make yourself £5 richer, don't buy the book and Google whatever aspect you are looking to improve on.
There are no secrets... hard work and practice will get you there. The more you practice, the luckier you will get (stolen from some golfer).0 -

The number of people that waste money on reference books when they could find the information online for just a bit of searching baffles me (sorry Soolin, don't mean to drive your book-buyers away). I'm currently trying to learn a bit of HTML coding. Do I buy a book: No. Do I search on Google for whatever term I need: Yes. Not only is it easier, it's also quicker, because I don't have to find the book's index, find a page number, then find the bit I need on that page.
Encyclopedias are another thing I don't understand people buying. Just use Wiki or Google.Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

There's something so much more pleasant about a book. I have a fantastic HTML book I picked up for 20p once you know the layout of the book its quick and easy to use and I find it far more satisfying than just using google. Also some of the information on wiki and in google can be very inaccurate.0 -
i bought it from play.com and they randomly sent me two. i took this as a sign to give it to someone in need, if i had read this earlier i would have sent you it.
to be fair, i am glad i have my own copy, i personally love the book and wouldnt want to be parted from it. keep an eye out on ebay or just pay £5 + postage - it is worth it.
g'luck:eek:

Do you sound like some critical poster, who has nothing better to do? Yes you do.
You've not contributed to this post in anyway. I suggest you pop to Specsavers and buy some glasses.
Re-read the thread back - at no point did I say, no too expensive, look again. And this (in case you haven't noticed) is a money saving site - why pay £6, when you can pay for e,g £1?
Now, in this case the book is not that much cheaper than Amazon, but that's beside the point.
Re: your point 'all this time and energy wasted' people post responses if they want to, no one is forcing them and besides you seemed happy enough to 'waste time and energy' with your sad response.
Oh and if I was that type of person who drove miles to save 1p on petrol, then I would have joined the library, which was by far the cheapest option.0 -
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0
