I claimed back my unlawful credit card charges from Abbey (subsequently MBNA).
Initially they sent me a cheque for around 250 quid. This included a refund down to 12 quid, plus the statutory 8% interest.
I cashed the cheque, bot wrote back, saying that although they said that they did not agree with the OFT decision, I personally did agree with the OFT and wanted a full refund.
Today, i got a further cheque for 350 quid, so they gave in and refunded all charges in full, plus 8% interest, almost 600 quid!
Shows how much the greedy banks fleeced me for in the first place.
Anyone reading, always write back and ask for more!
