Ive got a Toshiba laptop and its suddenly stopped all audio. The icon at the bottom of the screen has got a red cross and when I click it "No Audio Devise Installed" appears, also the same message appears when I go to the control panel and check the Sound link, There as always been sound on this computer and no problems before, although we had a two year old staying with us last week and she loved messing with the mouse!
Can anyone advise me what to do?
thanks in advance

Sounds like the driver needs to be re-installed. If you go into the control panel, then in to sounds, and then sound devices, there's a tab for hardware. From that you can see if there is a sound driver installed, and gives you the option to update. Although I'd have thought if it had been uninstalled, it would have automatically rediscovered it...Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0
