Obviously the type of PC and monitor will be important.
Secondly it depends on the power saving setting - it should go a reduced power consumption setting after xx mins.
A laptop will cost around one third of a penny an hour(0.3p) when in use.
Not many home desktop PCs will use more than 1.5p to 2p an hour when in use.0
