In my ramblings last night, I forgot to say that my sister just last year had B&Q to do her kitchen and fit it (the more expensive of the B&Q range with colour matched insides). I have to say that apart from the colour inside, the quality is not on a par with Wickes, they just don't seem as good quality (although the range she picked were the more expensive ones - the name I can't remember).
I did order my handles from B&Q as the guy in Wickes was honest about saying that they just didn't have a good selection (which is quite true)! He also told me not to order my appliances from them as they were expensive (I already had a list of appliances and prices anyway which Wickes couldn't beat). What was good too is that I could hold off delivery for up to 6 months and I don't start paying for it until it arrives which is a bonus!!

Has anyone got an opinion on Discount Kitchen Company. They seem to come in cheaper than all the usual sources and the website seems to point to quality cabinets.
I have looked on here and the rest of the web but can't find an opinion of the company and its products.
Website is the discountkitchenfactory dot co dot uk (can't put a link yet as am a newby)

I wasn't that impressed with the site, it was a bit clunky, that doesn't mean they aren't good, it just puts me off. Try DIY Kitchens, they do Second Nature and Burbidge through their sister site Elegant Kitchens. My customers have used them and they are the best prices I have seen anywhere for the general public.0 -

I have just spent a fortune with DIY Kitchens and wouldnt rate their customer service as anything above very standard, shame really, as I had high expectations, but am very disappointed.
Their £70 delivery service is appalling unless you are prepared to pay £150, same as the other company where you are required to offload the lorry yourself and still pay £70. My worktops each weighed 165kgs or 25 stone, you try unloading that !!
The cabinets are made at their factory and are OK, just the customer service and delivery lets it down badly, possibly a company growing too quickly and forgetting about the customer.0 -
I had the same concerns regarding DIY-Kitchens delivery so I ordered the worktops from elsewhere. However my order came in a very large lorry with tail gate lift with a two man driving team and they could not have been more helpful and unloaded right to my garage. Well worth their tip! I still needed help in moving the worktops once they were delivered.0
