Huge bag of pasta (3kg) was 'rolled back' in Wakefield Asda to £1.09 a bag.

3 pack of Princes Corned Beef (3 x 340g) 'rolled back' to £1.62!!! These were nearly £5.00 before. Works out at 54p a tin. Bargain.

Not sure if they are the same price in all other Asdas.

The bags of pasta bring a tear to my eye-I'm sure they were priced around a quid before the big 'R' happend.
I wonder if these roll backs are a sign of recovery or just to pull customers in?

Always check your reciept when taking advantage of any offfers at asda- their own brand of knock off kitkats in the Dewsbury store were 78p each or 4 for £2.00 on the shelves- get to the check out and its 4 for £2.50 til I kicked up a fuss. Its not the first time an offer I was trying to take advantage of has been questioned at the checkouts. Have complained through their website www.tellasda.com and told them next time its the trading standards. Either a) the records on the computers are not been updated(sloppy) or b) they are actively trying to rip off the consumer.

If you had gone to CS after you had paid (instead of at the tils) you would have been refunded the difference AND you would have been given a £2 gift card as an apology. This is company policy. :)

If you tell them at the tils and they alter it before you hand over the cash then you don't get the gift card as you haven't actually been overcharged until you have actually paid for the item.

Make a note of this for next time;)
