I hadn't thought of job lots on ebay. I will look into it as it seems much easier to post than individual items.

  • Done an online shop, had a mental list of what we need, could I remember it while doing the shop? No. This is why I write things down! Oh, cereal for DH, not sure what he wants tho...what else?

Not good news from the council, I am sorry to hear that. I hope things are sorted for you soon.

Pooh - fortunately it's nothing personal - it's community stuff which is almost as bad but not quite... It does mean I've decided I need to make a speech next week. I've just got to write it and then cope with all the flak I'm likely to get ... ~sigh~
Will this rain ever stop  It's really heavy here and has been for hours!

Trust me Frodders, it will stop. It's cleared temporarily from here and I'm west of you and it's heading in an easterly direction...
Soapie-my mum was my best friend, and despite telling me things i didnt want to hear she was always right. I hope your DD is doing ok? lots of hugs!

Thanks Zoe - she's chirpier this evening. She did actually go out and do her consultation stuff (she's learning to be a hypnotherapist) this evening where as last night she wasn't sure if she would be strong enough. She's been wavering a bit about getting back together with him as he, apparently is heartbroken. But I think I've persuaded her not to tdo that... Gawd, it's not easy being a parent!

kazm - gorgeous photos, glad it went well and you had a lovely time!

pooh - have you thought of going down the 'well worn shoes' route on ebay? Valli can fill you in ;). Seriously, if people are prepared to pay for it, then you might as well take their money - and you can get the flylady community to declutter all their old shoes to you as well!

Thanks for all the messages about my leaving do. I had a lovely time - lots of people I wasn't expecting turned up (lots of people I was expecting didn't, but there you go... its pretty normal really, people don't always follow through on what they've committed to, particularly after a bank holiday!). The weather didn't help (I think soappie has already described it pretty accurately!). But I saw the people that mattered, was given a lovely card & presents (cake-decorating turntable, bottle of wine, voucher for sugarcraft shop) and managed to make my speech without embarrassing myself!

Flying - have hoovered up ANOTHER mutant spider (and the windows were all closed today too ). Must do some proper flying tomorrow and Friday once the pest control guy has done the attic.

I'm shattered now, so I think I'll head off...

    [STRIKE]Declutter and mop/vacuum the floors
    Find and wipe the worksurfaces[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Wipe the big appliances and units.. don't forget kickboards!
Wipe small appliances and replace.. do one thoroughly.. descale or decrumb or degunge!
Clear and wipe a shelf or window sill[/STRIKE]
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Sort through and clean out one cupboard
Clean the oven and hob.[/STRIKE]. :D

managed to give the food cupboard and thorough clean and re-lined with grease-proof paper while I was off work.
Must confess I've barely scooted round the kitchen. Didn't get in from work until 8.30pm.

Just had my second lot of smear results back and an abnormal result is now normal.

Big sigh of relief - considering tattoo to celebrate.
