Will this rain ever stop  It's really heavy here and has been for hours!

I have made my packed lunches for tomorrow and Friday and think I'm just about ready for the morning. No children in until Monday though, so should have time to get stuff sorted.

Kazm - glad you had a lovely time

greenbee - hope you have a good evening

  • Evening all

    Small announcement
I have a working washing machine (just thought I would share!)

I've not done much off the list today but I have done lots of other little things. I even cleaned out the kitchen cupboards and put all the dried foods into containers and labeled them:T:T. The WM has been giving it big licks.

Kazm Wow! 00020332.gifpictures. you look like a 000201EF.gif

Off to sort the school stuff and wash the dinner dishes unless someone wants to nip round and do it for me?????????????? 00020166.gif

for future reference cloudy water that clears from the bottom up is very fine air bubbles and the water should be white...This is fairly common when they have been messing with the pipes.
cloudy water that clears from the top down has some sort of solid (fine powder?) suspended in it and that would settle on the bottom of the glass like a sediment. Check with your supplier!

Yeah, its chalk apparently if its clears from the top down. Mine is clearing from the bottom up, and is still white but is going through the water filter now as I've got it up and running!

Poohbear, hugs for you sounds like you are going through a hard time with money and hugs to your DH for going to the dentist today. I really understand about the money thing, we are really struggling too

Orkney glad your DS is doing so well with his potty/loo training

    Greenbee enjoy your leaving do

    Grateful hope work goes well

Hugs svjenni, take things easy and look after yourself, I’ve been there and done that so I know what it’s like xx

Welcome back Kazm, fantastic pics, you look lovely and the location looks stunning!

Soappie sorry it didn’t go well with the council bods, are they not going to do what you wanted with the buses?

Hugs Fedup, hope you are feeling better soon, I know exactly what you mean about teetering on the emotional brink so look after yourself and try to get some rest and make sure you eat properly as being tired or not eating the right foods will make you feel worse

FFP, glad you have got a new WM, that will make life easier

I got new slippers today as my old ones are full of holes and it's hardly worth wearing them! I thought about repairing them, but actually they are too far gone! I've also got new sandals as the ones I wore at the weekend took all the skin off my little toes and I was in agony all the way round Oxford! I put millions of plasters on, it was so funny in the end as everytime we stopped I had to ask my sister to put another plaster on my foot! We started laughing hysterically! Anyway, ordered them yesterday from Next and they are here. My slippers are sooo comfy! They are really soft and wonderful! I got these ones I know it's pathetic to be so pleased but I've been wanting them for ages

I've not done very well with my list today, but hopefully I will get a few more bits done before bed and I will do some more of it tomorrow

    My list for the day:
    [STRIKE]Washing up[/STRIKE][STRIKE]
French lesson on way to CMHT
[/STRIKE]V14 form and cover letter to explain that car is at insurance company and we really do deserve a refund for our tax disc!
[STRIKE]Sort out something for dinner (am defrosting something, just need to work out what to have with it)[/STRIKE]
Peel pots and cook them, mash them and freeze them (they are about to go off)
Peel carrots, cook them, have some for dinner and freeze the rest (they are about to go off too)
HEEL BALM feet twice today – they are so bad that the skin actually ripped my socks yesterday
    Write cards to people
    Sew up pink bra

I've done really well with walking today, going to get over 3, 000 steps today which is great compared to the last few weeks where i was struggling to get 2,000!

Oh and the smurfs...Dusty's and G&B's look really grumpy and that's not an adjective I'd use for either of them. Are they the same smurf?

Mine is grumpy smurf as i was grumpy when i chose him.

Ah thanks hun but mine is 'Snappy Smurf' - Snappy Smurf had his age reversed and became Snappy Smurfling. Snappy wears a yellow tee-shirt with a storm cloud on it - which is indicative of his disposition. Snappy can be quite snappy at times! Ask the children, I'm as snappy as a snapper fish!

  • Feel fed up and low this week and uninterested in everything and upset tonight - don't know why this has happened must be teetering on the emotional brink and tottering over the edge tonight

    (((hugs)))) xx

    Hello all

So far am failing dismally this week. House looks a mess (for me) and is stressing me. I need to have a half hour run around S&S I think. Mainly as i've been out every night so far this week!

Dr has given me some antibiotics, bit late really but should help clear things once and for all!

ETA: Mum has just phoned so I won't get my half hour dash round. I will do some bits whilst I'm doing the lunches later but for now am going to spend some time with DH as i'm out tomorrow and fri.

hope everyone is ok. hugs to all who need them!

This is an education for me!!! I never knew that there were so many smurfs lol. I still think you are too sweet to be snappy :D

Oh rach has a cute hiking smurf!
