Goodmans TV/Sky

Hi

Im hoping someone can help me. I have a goodmans TV and ever since we have had Sky HD connected to it none of the scart sockets work properly. We get sound through but not pictures.

We have since moved the TV upstairs and disconnected the Sky HD but we are still not getting any pictures through scart sockets. Can anyone help????

Sounds like the TV has developed a fault - rather than Sky causing it

I thought that but the Sky HD plays perfect on it. I've even plugged in the Sky+ box but that wont show a picture either. If it was a fault then wouldn't there be no picture with the Sky HD box??? Its all a bit strange

i take it your sky hd box is attached by hdmi lead though, not scart lead, so the fact there is a problem with the scart sockets on your tv, wont affect the sky hd box performance

Thats is true lol. But it seems strange that it was working perfectly before we had Sky HD and as soon as it was installed the scarts stopped working properly. Would the HDMI lead trigger something inside the TV tro stop scarts working??

dont know, maybe there is a setting where when something is connected by hdmi, it disables scart, have u tried disconnecting sky hd box totally from tv, and trying to connect something via scart to see if that makes a difference?

Thanks anyway. Have emailed Goodmans as well just to see if they can shed any light on it.
