I thinking of a trip next year about april/may as I dont like it really hot.

Im taking my 8yr old son,
1.)Is florida or Orlando better for kids?
2.)am i best staying in a disney resort or outside.
3.) Is there enough to keep you busy inside disney for a fortnite
4.) If not is there other things to do in either florida/orlando for kids.
5.) which is the longer flight
6.) am i best booking everything thru disney or seperate. i.e flights accomodation passes ect

Has anyone been with kids about this age and got any tips?
I want it to be a really specail trip and not get bored, also I was thinking that £3000 max should be enuf for 1 adult and 1 child for flights accomodation, passes and car hire if needed or am i dreaming.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

forgot to say ive looked thru the other disney threads but it didnt really answer my questions. thanks

Orlando is in Florida, Walt Disney World is in Orlando Florida and I believe is the largest of the Walt Disney worlds/lands. It is huge there is more than enough in Disney World Florida to keep you occupied for a fortnight.

I always stay onsite in a Disney Hotel.

A really fab site for info about WDW Florida is www.thedibb.co.uk
  • lol...shows how much i know! I thought there were 2 different disney parks in 2 different states i dont know why i thought this am i wrong?

Disney world Florida does not have enough to keep you occupied for a fortnight! However... there is also Epcot Centre/Busch Gardens - zoo and theme park with rides etc/Universal Studios - Film based theme park/wet n wild type theme parks etc etc etc (google them!) - You might want to consider a package through someone like virgin where everything is included as - please don't take offence - but you don't seem very clued up regarding travel etc and so an all in one package may be the best bet.

If you go to Florida, then IMO a must do is Sea World and if you can afford it Discovery Cove.
I had a far better time there than any of the Disney parks, in fact I did not like the Disney parks at all if I am honest. We didn't stay in Orlando, we were down on the Gulf Coast in Port Charlotte which was a lovely place. I did spend a few days on International Drive before my flight home, and will never, ever stay there again.
