If he only requested maintenance from 4 years ago, it will be a CS2 case which will be a set % of her net income - ie 15%. It should include overtime but won't change unless her income has gone up by at least 5%, so if she has had only a 2% rise for a couple of years, the assessment will have remained the same.
  • yes his ex was living with someone...albeit a different guy to who she is with now. We asked the csa to re-assess over 2 years ago as we couldnt see how she was on such a low income permanentley...maybe we should get onto them again...the re-assessment came out the same - so she still payed the low wage bracket payment.......what bothers me is that she claims she has no money to the csa and also to our daughter (i.e. never buys her anything or takes her anywhere - except birthday and christmas presents which are minimal too) but she has just put a cash deposit down on a big house and plans to have more children with this other guy now. That to me is not the actions of someone who is on such a low income

Sorry I don't know where I got the idea of CSA1 from, I thought I had read it on here. Probably confused from another thread.

Maybe her partner supports her and he is the one who is buying the house with her, stumping up most of the cash?
