CAFCgirl...is there a nice IT person at your works who you could persuade to come and have a look at the USB ports? It may be something really simple that needs tweaking in the operating system or something...?
Anyway is not, how about taking the photos anyway and chatting up said nice IT person to upload them onto a PC at work and then email them to yourself or set up an account at Snapfish (earn yourself £3.50 via QuidCo doing it!!) and then you can see if you can copy the files onto your hard disk via the site (email yourself one or two just in case you can't).
If you don't work with any nice IT people then is there another PC you can use (a friend's house/BF?) you can upload the photos to?Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Hi CAFCGirl,
I am feeling better now, reading all the above posts and hope you are too!
Dr Lou and LookingAhead and Lynzpower have had amazing suggestions for you re. car boot, IT guy at work and other motivational things - hopefully that's got you fired up again. I like your idea of setting yourself daily posts too.
I don't know if this is sad or not, but I am REALLY looking forward to the DFW meet in London on 23 July. Now, if I can get there from here, you can definitely make it (barring any prior commitments!) from Kent - that might be something to look forward too?
Anyway - here's to tomorrow! Why not keep this as some sort of debt diary - the style that's quite popular on here - and keep us updated with how you are...?

With the eBaying, is there any item that you are selling which you could pinch the photos from online then just add a sentence explaining that the photo isn't of the actual item and give a description. I sold a new rimmell foundation (it was a freebie) last week, I nicked the picture from the Boots website. Just hoover over the picture, right click, save as, and make sure its a jpeg format.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0

Hey all
Sorry its taken me so long. Thanks to everyone for all the help you've given me.Theres been some really great tips, and I'm so appreciative. Car boot is a great idea but I'm having trouble finding one around where I live, (its not an excuse) I just haven't lived here very long to find out where they are!Plus I dont drive so mine would literally only be a 'boot'!
I've borrowed bf's digital camera and am starting to take all my pictures of my stuff. He's gonna pick up the camera at the weekend and hopefuly (if he's not feeling too useless) he'll email them over to me. I wish I could find pics of stuff to "borrow" from websites. A lot of my stuff is clothes and shoes, and since theyre old style I cant find any pics of them.
Was thinking of maybe trying to sell some of my DVD's on ebay. I dont watch too many of them, well one at a time in fact, and some of them are old far fetched ones, so even if I can get a few quid for each.Thats better than nothing surely.
My only saving grace is that I was going through my present box last night, and have worked out that I got every single birthday presents sorted out for friends and family up until christmas, and even have a few christmas presents cleared and ready! So therefore should'nt need to be spending any money on that until december!
Whats all this about DFW meet in july?!
I've got my diary sorted out, and am just waiting to write something in it! I've written off the long weekend! So it's now a new beginning for me.Thankfully all my utility bills are now up to date!
Waiting for the new CC to turn up so I can trasnfer that over.I feel like as soon as I do that, I'll feel like I've actually done some thinking and made a really effort to control the debt.
Spoke to ex-boyfriend (i know i know, playing with fire!) and he's offered to come and have a look at my USB's for me (and no thats not slang for something else!), if I cook him dinner for his efforts. I told him he only gets fed if it gets fixed, which I think is fair. So I guess that was working on the aforementionned lovely man at I.T dept. I work in a shop so the resources are limited for things like that!
The earrings, I know what we're all saying, but I do love them! lol I know I'm being terrible, but I'm using that as my treat for May. I know technically I should get it at the end of the month, but hey!
As you can tell I a feeling a lot more optimistic at the moment (plus I'm hiding on my computer all day so as to limit the debt damage!). I just wanted to say thankyou so much to everyone for the effort you've all made and every piece of advice I've got written down and stuck to the mirror in my bedroom.
My daily tasks for today were:
Post Amazon items BIG FAT TICK so far!
Change bed linen, wash and put on airer to dry
Washing up
Find something to have for dinnerWealth is not measured by currency0 -
DVDs & CDs are a good idea for ebay, they cost nothing to post, and you can easily lift the pictures off other sites like amazon or cd wow etc. Infact, you can type the bar code no in and there are stock photos for most cds I remember
Any chance of sharing a car boot with someone else? Or could you club up with another MSer to do one? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Why not try the DVDs on Amazon. You'll not pay a penny if they don't sell plus its a lot quicker to list, no need for photos etc. You could get those on now! No time like the present, LOL.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0

I found that when I sold my books on ebay and amazon I ended up getting around about the same amount. I think amazon fee's are pretty high. Out of £15 they took £5. I get what you're saying about not selling etc.
I'm off to change my bed linen lol.Cant hang around on here all day........ or can i????Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Well I didnt want anyone getting the wrong idea!
I've been warned about double meanings on here!
Pleased to know I've got dinner sorted out, and for the next two nights as well, which was a bonus, and I've washed my bed linen!
:T :T I have to treat myself like a simpleton sometimes xxWealth is not measured by currency0
