Lapland Holiday please help advice needed

Hi I'm looking at booking a Lapland holiday at the beginning off December for up to a wk for 2 adults and 5 kids (eldest 13 and 14). I know Santa lapland hols are mega expensive but wonder if I could save a little by booking excursions etc while I'm there rather than through a travel provider? I think a log cabin would be the best option for us as it would accomodate us all together but I'm totally baffled about where to start looking and how to get the best deal. Any help would be very much appreciated.

There is quite a long topic HERE on Lapland which should have some useful information.

If you post in that topic anyone who is subscribed to it will be notified that there is a new post and may reply.

inghams are going to be your cheapest option - have a look at their site to see the full price that they have - these are for 1 week stays

once you are there you can also book all your excussions with them, they are also by far the cheapest option

there will be deals coming out soon so I would wait a few more weeks before you book especially as you are going early dec so you don't have to pay the inflated school holiday prices

there is also a dedicated lapland forum where you can get lots of help

    www.lapland-forum.com

I have been to lapland 5 times and to 3 resorts - it's a magical place and you can keep the costs down if you are savvy
