I am not sure if this is the right place for this but if not maybe one of the moderators could move it for me
I have recently finished an industrial placement with an ISP and whilst there have had there opportunity to develop a basic website but as I become more ambitious with what I want to do I find that I am held back by my limited skills in this area ideally I was thinking of somehow using these skills when I go back to uni and have to start my final year project but know that the knowledge I have now is not sufficient
I was wondering if anyone could maybe recommend a course that I could try I was looking for something that covered many aspects so far I have used JavaScript, PHP and Perl but I would like to go on and cover PHP and ASP.net
Thanks

You may not need a course.
If you've got time, sit down and run through a load of the tutorials on http://www.asp.net. There are some video tutorials that are excellent and very easy to pick up. The tutorials run right through from beginner to expert and have plenty of coded examples.
You can also download Visual Studio Express and Visual Sql Server Express for free from Microsoft.
The above will take you done the Microsoft .Net route though."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
Definitely look at .Net and Visual Studio. Also consider Java, JSP and get up to speed on a couple of databases e.g. MS SQL Server, MY SQL etc.
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0
