Need help - superglue removal

Hope someone can help, My mum has a small coffee table with a tiled surface. Recently she was repairing something using superglue and, unbeknownst to her, had spilt a small quantity on the table...
Theere is solidified line of glue which can't be removed, I've had a go and my drastic suggestion was to chisel away the glue using a sharp blade - but my concern about this approach is damaging or scarring the tile.
Can anyone suggest a simple method of removing this glue, and in doing so cheer up mum who is rather fond of her little table.
