I have several video's ie our wedding and then several vids of the kids from when they were babies to present day, holiday vids etc.
We do not have a standalone vcr anymore but we have a couple combi tv's ie tv/vcr. Is there a special cable that I can connect from tv/vcr to our pc to copy the vids so that I can then re record them onto dvd.
These tv's are pretty ancient probably about 9 years old.
Thanks

You do not say want connections you have on tv or PC?

By far the easiest method is to use a DVD recorder.
Splash out on one with a freeview tuner and a HDD and you are all fixed up for changeover.
They all have an analogue input to allow you to copy VHS recordings.
You may wish to play around with the adapters quoted above but they are all a bit of a fiddle, and need a fairly fast PC to run well. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I use something called 'EasyCAP' which is perfect for Windows and Mac Computers. You need AV ports on the back of your VCR (Red, White and Yellow), if you have a Scart connector then there are adapters readily available for a couple of pounds!
Google 'EasyCAP'0
